Trumpet/Violin/Viola All beginning through intermediate band and orchestra instruments
Jeff is a passionate advocate for music education, and happily serves as a music teacher in the Fairfield Public Schools. After school activities include an active career as a freelance soloist, orchestral/chamber musician, conductor, and pit musician for numerous local musicals. He has been a co-presenter at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago with Dorothy Straub.
He studied trumpet with William Vacchiano, Mel Broiles, Phil Smith, Gerard Schwarz, and Ray Crisara. He studied conducting with Maurice Peress, Donald Portnoy, and Dorthy Savitch at Queens College's Aaron Copland School of Music. He studied viola with Cynthia Prentice and Dorothy Straub.
Jeff has Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the The Juilliard School. He lives with his wife Melanie in Shelton and has three children serving in the U.S. Navy.
